Campus Safari #11: Office of Study Skills Enrichment


           This week I got the chance to stop by the office of Study Skills Enrichment. It is located in Engleman Hall C 016. While I was there, I found out that they have academic success workshops that help to impart useful personal management skills for school and day-to-day life. I am actually really interested in going to one of these workshops because I feel these workshops will teach me many skills which will assist me to managing life as a student.
            The question I prepared before visiting the office was: What are good studying tips for students? There response was to find a place and time when you work the best. Then, allow yourself enough time to accomplish the work you need to complete. Also they brought up a good point about how putting more effort and thought into your homework actually can reduce the study time in the end. They also suggested not to wait to the last minute to study before the test. I encourage all students to check out the office of study skills and enrichment and look into attending one of the workshops.
