Recently, I
attended a group discussion for students interested in majoring in
Communication Disorders. The meeting was yesterday, September 11, from
4:30-6:30pm in Englemann Hall B121-A. Here, I was able to meet with local
speech-language pathologists, speech-language professors, graduate students in
this program as well as undergraduates considering this major. I am extremely
glad I attended because I learned a lot about the profession and courses I need
to take to get me there. One thing I found really interesting that one of the
professors mentioned was the fact that once I complete all my courses and
graduate, that is just the beginning of my education. He mentioned that
majoring in communication disorders turns you on to a life long learning experience.
I am definitely really interested in this profession and I am excited to take
courses for this major next semester! Wednesday, September 12, 2012
