This week I visited the Granoff Student Health Center on
campus. It is pretty easy to find, located on Wintergreen Ave, right across the
street from the winter green building. I observed that the staff seemed
friendly and helpful towards other students who came in as well. While I was in
there I grabbed a few pamphlets addressing health problems college students may
face. I found these pamphlets to be really interesting and I found out some
things I didn’t know before. One of the pamphlets was about energy drinks and
they negative effect they have on the body. I found it interesting because I
know many college students turn to energy drinks to keep them awake in class or
while doing schoolwork. But do they really know how they harm the body? I’ve
learned that energy drinks can you make you feel nervous or irritable, cause
your heart to beat faster and increase blood pressure. I encourage all college
students to visit the health center and pick up a pamphlet of interest to them.
Trust me, it wont be a waste of time!
